One Last Thing

These falling leaves have me in full fall-prep gear.

Last week I:
  • Pulled out and rotated all of Sportsman-in-Training's winter clothes
  • Found my fall decor box
  • Put away all the flower pots from the decks
  • Organized fall activities for the kids
  • Had my pea-coat dry-cleaned
  • Winterized my garden bed
  • Put all the lawn furniture away
  • Made HOT tea
  • Wore JEANS for the first time since may?!
  •  Started a exercise program. The jeans were a little snug...

Fall can be such a busy time of the year for us. I am pretty sure we have something planned for every weekend from now until it snows as I am sure you do as well.

But just take one last time to do something that will get you through those blustery winter days.

You will thank me when it is blizzarding out and you can look back and remember that one last summer thing you did.

My thing is one last camping trip.

A true sleep in a tent complete with marshmallows falling in the fire, sand in everything, charred food, no make-up, kid up all night, grounds in my coffee kinda trip.

Especially since Sportsman-in-Training is finally getting the idea of what camping is all about. We had a bonfire in the backyard last night and he was chatting the whole time about his tent and the woods. He even went and found his little spongebob lawn chair and drug it up to the fire so he could just sit. That's what I love about him... he always does things 100%... when he sets his mind to it.
Even if it is just sitting.

So I am clearing a weekend out for my one last thing. Because this is what will get me through "those" winter days.
