currently

I have so many crazy ideas rolling around in my head right now, I couldn't possibly write a concise blog post about just one thing. Soooo.... enter currently! One of my blogging goals has been to be more "me" when writing, er... typing. I thought this would be a great exercise to do just that.

loving: My new hot pink boat shoes. Boat shoes are to the east coast as cowboy boots are to the midwest. I finally figured I better start blending in a little more around here and broke down and bought a pair.

reading: My to-do list. I do have "library" on my list... I need some new reading material. I hate that watching tv has been my way of relaxing before bed and need to get back into some good book reading by the fire. Any suggestions?

waiting for: Boating season. I think Sportsman-in-Training is old enough to start on the kayak. I can't wait for his reaction the first time he goes for a paddle with us.

excited about: My parents vow renewal for their 30th anniversary. And the fact that they want all of us kids to tag along with them in Cancun!

missing: Playing guitar. I was listening to the radio in the car when a great guitar run came on and I was sad at how I have let my guitar skills slide. I sure wish I was into it enough to be able to play for said parents vow renewal. Sorry mom!

trying to:  Decide what to make for supper. I am in a meal planning slump and feel like we are always rotating through the same meals. Well, we are... Pinterest here I come!

working on: Picking out new flooring for the kitchen/dining room area. So many options!

enjoying: A cup of hot herbal mint white tea. Every now and then I realize I am drinking way to much coffee and try to kick it with some good tea. And yes, my tea is sitting on a flooring sample. 

smelling: Its got to be  those darn samoa cookies. I thought I saw the Girl Scouts running around our neighborhood and if they know whats good for them they better knock on my door.

wearing: My pretty new stack of bracelets I got for Christmas. They make me feel young. And hip. And this picture makes me think that I would be an awful hand model.

planning: Some fun valentines crafts for Sportsman-in-Training. He loves holidays and crafting and sending his Grandmas little cards.

singing: I don't sing. It's embarrassing.

needing: Maybe a little more me time. I'm not complaining though, I love my guys.

learning: Some new quilting techniques. I will share those sometime this week.

listening: To silence. God knew what he was doing for all of us mothers when he created nap time.

wishing: Supper would magically make itself.

doing: Warming my feet by the fire while I type this.

praying for:This family. The father and two sons died of cold while hiking in the Smokies. SO sad.

dreaming of: Sitting on the beach with my family in less then a month. It has been almost two years since I have seen my brother, one year since I have seen my sister and 6 months since I have seen my parents. Let the good times roll!
