Snow

I broke my four day hibernation and took my little Sportsman-in-Training outside to enjoy our fluffy white snow. My thought is, if it's going to be freakishly cold out it might as well be pretty white so we have something nice to look at from the window.

And white it is.

We got a couple inches yesterday. Not much compared to what some of you in the Midwest have, but enough to put all my premature spring garden dreaming to rest...
My little guy was SO excited. In the ten minutes we were outside I managed to snap a couple pictures and teach him how to catch snowflakes on your tongue. Hey, it's an important skill to know!

Despite the fact that his little hands were icicles, he loved every minute of it. I need to hunt down some toddler gloves that actually stay on... The Sportsman suggested duck-tape.
Then it was like a whiteout and I tempted him in with hot chocolate and peanut butter cookies.
It worked.

Happy snow day!

  2. So cool that he enjoys the snow. My girls hate it. Something they will most definitely need to overcome if they are nodak girls.

    1. Yeah he loves snow but hates sledding. Which is my fault. I pushed him down a hill before he was ready.... Oops.
